MSC carry on drink policy has changed over the last couple of years. They were one of the few lines that 'invited' you to purchase drinks ashore! Not so anymore. Packed liquor in checked bags on embarkation, as with most lines, falls under what the eye doesn't see......but carry ons in ports of call were checked dilligently & removed till last night of cruise. Some of us who argued about keeping the wine etc & paying corkage were also denied this option. Corkage fee only applies to drinks purchased in the SHIPS SHOP!

The feedback on another site says "Some passengers packed liquor or wine in check bags upon embarkation, some just brought it onboard from ports in not so obvious bags. Consistently there seems to be no corkage policy, so even wine must be consumed in cabin and not in the dining room. However one passenger even reported that their waiter did uncork the bottle they brought in the dining room." but the policy does state $15 should be charged when you bring wine on board at any port so a bit of a mixed response. When onboard ask you attendant or just watch what others are doing.
