Star-Studded Launch Set for MSC Poesia

MSC Poesia, MSC's newest addition, is making her debut on 5^th April 2008 in Dover. An exclusive VIP celebration is set to be held, attended by Italian actress, Sophia Loren who will christen the cruise ship at midnight. Andrea Bocelli will also perform live, as well as KT Tunstall, the Ronnie Scott Band and jazz singer Peter Grant. Throughout the celebrations, Brian Olsen will provide visual entertainment performances, incorporating paintings of musicians, politicians and actors with auditory treats. BBC Radio One DJ, Fearne Cotton is set to lead activities later on in the evening – providing further entertainment for guests on MSC Poesia.   

The cruise liner includes 1,275 staterooms and will feature as the sister ship to MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica. She is the ninth ship in the MSC fleet - which has experienced the industry’s biggest fleet growth over the last three years. Following this exciting launch, MSC Poesia will begin a 13-night cruise from Dover to Venice, stopping Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, and Italy, arriving in Venice, where she will be located for Summer 2008.
