Before this cruise, our first with MSC, we read a number of critical reviews. I wish to say we had a wonderful cruise. The itinerary was what we wanted and the weather was great. The crew were very helpful and if you want something like ice to use in your room, just ask and it is no problem. The food was very good - you have a choice buffet on deck or if you want the best use the dining room - we did most times. We had the early dinner sitting which suited us, and we enjoyed the food. We particularly appreciated the easy embarkation/disembarkation with people arriving/departing at most ports, rather than the queues and waiting associated with the weekly turnover of passengers. We were shown to our room and our luggage arrived virtually at the same time. This all set the scene for a very relaxed cruise. We also enjoyed the music in the Blue Bayou Bar, a French guy played the guitar and sang the sort of music we really like.
We did some of the ship's shore excursions that are great to see the max in the time available. Other places we did our own thing which was fine, particularly in ports we had been before. There was no hard sell of shore excursions.
We found our cabin was spacious with good facilities and scrupulously clean, actually the biggest cabin we've had on our cruises. We look forward to our next cruise!!
